The Associated Press is one of the world’s largest and most trusted sources of independent news and information.

We now invite applications for the position of Videojournalist based at our office in PRAGUE.

Fluent Czech essential.

Its video business has bureaux in more than 80 countries, and currently distributes global news, sport, entertainment, technology and lifestyles content to broadcast, online and mobile platforms.

Video captured by AP can be seen by over half of the world’s population on any given day.

AP invites applications for the position of Videojournalist based in Prague.

The position involves covering news events in the Czech Republic and neighbouring countries, as well as across Europe, and also internationally. Coverage of sports events, entertainment events, and feature stories may also be required.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrated ability in video storytelling.
Experience in desk and field producing for a television news agency, broadcaster, or online equivalent.
The ability to edit video in both linear and non-linear formats
The ability to write in English to broadcast and digital standards
The ability to operate a video camera in a newsgathering role.
Fluency in written and spoken English and in written and spoken Czech required. Additional European languages an asset.
